Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Computer Science
Bachelor of Science (Computer Science, Minor: Business)
Still learning who I am.
I'm originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh. After completing my bachelor's degree at BRAC University and working briefly in the tech industry, I moved to Canada to pursue a direct-entry PhD at Dalhousie University. At Dalhousie, I’ve taught, mentored, and supported students in various roles, including instructor, teaching assistant, and student ambassador. I’ve also been involved in student leadership, community events, and volunteering, both on and off campus. As a Gen Z academic myself, I can definitely relate — the deadlines, the burnout, the group chats, the fast-paced tech. My goal is to help make academia more inclusive, supportive, and maybe even a little bit cool.
I travel more than my suitcase (or my cat) approves — 22 countries and counting. From the Himalayas and the Alps to the Rockies, I've ticked off every mountain range I dreamed of. Every trip brings new perspectives (and occasionally sore legs). I have a thing for cars and impulsive road trips. I almost studied mechanical engineering just to build engines, but these days I settle for scenic drives, great playlists, and obeying the speed limit 99.999999% of the time (give or take a floating-point error).
Outside work, you'll find me with Lulu, my feline baby — a golden British Shorthair with a lot of personality. He's a talker with strong opinions about everything. He loves to play, demands belly rubs, climbs every high surface he can reach, and drools over for milky desserts (even though he really shouldn't!).
